I remember one of the promoters trying to advertise on an aussie thai boxing forum and wondering why he wasn't getting any respect from our community for the event.
"Boxing is the art of hitting an opponent from the furthest distance away, exposing the least amount of your body while getting into position to punch with maximum leverage and not getting hit."

oh come on, you know you want to see a couple of guys doing nothing but trying to land a jump spinning heel kick that's worth 4 points regardless of strength of contact!

Sorry guys, just found out there was a tournament held last year in Argentina. Not sure but I think it was some kind of team tournament here are the vids.

    YouTube- ValentĂMonkeyScrotumCleaning.tvn Robles Vs. Fabián DĂMonkeyScrotumCleaning.tvaz - Pro Taekwon-Do

YouTube- Raul Nieves Vs. Enrique Romero - Pro Taekwon-Do

I beleive this is a good step forward and I don't think the scoring system is that bad, its essensetially the same as that of olympic boxing. The rules about punches, I agree are just to put more emphasis on proper kicks, but progress takes time.

But restricting punching doesn't mean you're going to get better kicks from a fight. It's pointless.

My god it looked like some kind of windmilling slap fight... I pray I didn't look like that in my TKD days, but I'm pretty sure I did.

why try to start your own org? TKD and karate already had its heyday in kickboxing during the 70's and 80's. why not just join the PKA learn some proper boxing and promote TKD that way. why all the hassle?

because TKD, like the white race, must remain pure.

This is not much different from ITF Taekwondo except now with more contact and in a ring...

This is Kickboxing without punch combos and hooks...

People interested in this find of fighting will start leaving to train in kickboxing like many Karate-kas...

And we're back to square one...
