So he should fix his striking by training in a striking art that doesn't suck? Yeah ok. We should continue this in another thread.

I wonder if there's any movement between AoW and WMA (wushu masters association)

There probably is and I wouldn't put in pass some of AOW promoters to go to a WMA event to look for more fighters for their events plus martial arts in heavily integrated into Chinese culture so it would be natural and really easy to find more fighters in China for their events.

    Google liability.
Then search youtube for Travis Fulton Slam TKD.

If you persist in this vein of thought I'm happy to provide more examples.

The only bias against an influx of your TMA guys competing is imposed by reality, not promoters.

That to me is a bunch of bullshit and why the martial arts no matter what type of martial artist you are hasn't advanced to an international and widely recognized sport like football and basketball is.
I haven't encountered any of this kind of discrimination that you're referring to in my area. If a guy wants to fight MMA he just has his instructor call the local promoters and matchmakers or he calls them himself and asks to get on an upcoming show, it's really pretty easy. I've seen Karateka, Wing Chun/JKD guys, Taekwondoin all fight on local shows.

I've seen the Highlights for the Art Of War FC before. It's pretty damn brutal.

Haven't had the chance to watch an entire match though.

Hey, there is only one way that they are ever going to get good enough to fight realistically and that is if they step in the cage or ring and fight just watching it or training in the same thing that they do everyday of their life isn't going to do it. So why not let traditional martial artists fight more in MMA I know the MMA and BJJ guys don't mind getting in some more fights for sheer pleasure and further training especially with traditional stylists.

Because they could get hurt really bad. They probably won't give value for money.

They probably get bored of shooting fish in a barrel eventually.
