Overreem wants Fedor for May or June!
The, to my knowledge at least, first official first-hand comment on what would likely be Strikeforce's fight of the year:
YouTube- Alistair Overeem's Post-Fight Interview
Overreem would be a more interesting pick than Werdum, but since Fedor has only signed a 3-fights-contract with SF, they might probably keep the big bang for the end.
Interestingly enough, Overreem could have fought Arlovski on this New Yeear's Dynamite, but chose a significantly weaker opponent instead.
Looks like someone's afraid of his spoiling his oh-so-clean winning record...
Overeem all roided-up is a serious opponent for Fedor. (he jusy destroyed Fujitas face!)
I still think Fedor is waisting his time at strikeforce though.
That depends on his purpose for choosing Strikeforce. If he just wants to protect his fightrecord then I agree. However, this may have more to do with his financial involvment in M-1 global. If M-1 helps Strikeforce to grow into a serious rival to the UFC then Fedor stands to earn a lot of money, maybe he's thinking ahead to retirement. Come to think if it, Strikeforce doesn't need to grow all that much for fedor to be able to live comfortably (since he seems to enjoy a simple life rather than blow it away on booze and women).

Fedor already has enough money to live the simple life he likes. Probably several times over.

Actually, isn't Overeem the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion? I recall him fighting Buentello for the HW belt over two years ago, but I don't think he's ever actually defended it.
Dude needs to start fighting again in the U.S. yesterday.
Did they strip him of the title yet? I can't remember. I know he was still champ when Fedor fought Rogers, otherwise that would've been for the belt.

According to Wikipedia, Overeem is still the current Strikeforce HW champ (I know, not the best source of info, but I'm lazy). Strikeforce should strip him of the title; Le was middleweight champ for less time than that (still a long time though), and they took away his belt after he shifted his focus from fighting to acting. Overeem was simply fighting for other orgs in between injuries, so that's something to consider.
Two aspects make this fight especially interesting to me:
1. The question of doping in MMA.
2. The myth Fedor is building around himself.
