Matt,
Some forms of flexibility associated with gymnastics can be very bad for you in the long-term, especially when you are dealing with the flexibility of as-yet underdeveloped limbs. I have read somewhere that it's not good to get kids working up this amazing spinal flexibility.Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog -

Flexibility is more of a fitness component, and it's a case of more not neccesarily being better.
Re; fatness (like flexibility), there's an appropriate bell curve, with the extremes (either way) being potentially detrimental.
As for "muscle mass" at an early age...how early? What are the means used to acquire it?
I can't imagine someone having too much strength though. -
