    Hell yeah! Hell no!

what should i look for when purchasing a real knife.

I am the kinda guy, who if he knows how to use a weapon, he wants it. I am looking to purchase both a knuckle knife and a standard knife.

    A knuckle knife is stupid.

All you need to know is Spyderco, Benchmade, Cold Steel, CRKT.

I do not know your local laws. I am sure the knuckle knife is a federal crime and I'd bet its a felony in PA.

You want LEGAL length, so look it up.

From there, get a quality pocket knife that does NOT look like a combat knife.

Carry a sharpened up toothbrush. That way when you end up in jail for getting all stabby you will have a head start.

Is this your thinly veiled claim to some sort of training with knives?

Ka-Bar. Thousands of dead Germans, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, and a Grenadan or two would agree.

As does Mr. Machette, not that it's as important an opinion as the rest of these muggs, but there it is...

Best knife for the money, hands down.

What do you want the knife for? That makes a big difference in choice.

Someone mentioned cold steel and I would second that if your looking for the best functional knife you can get. There is a pretty impressive selection too. In the pocket/folding knives the Talwar is my favorite. In the fixed knives the Trail Master and Laredo Bowie are great.
