    Padraig -

I personally trained for four months prior to my first Gathering. Of course I was training with the NoHo pack of DB's so it helped speed me along but its something you just gotta do. Every Gathering you will grow by leaps and bounds.

As far as preparation you just gotta spar often and work through all ranges from outside to grappling. Work you footwork under fire and as mentioned already work on POWER swings. These boys (aka Poi and Stickhead for example) do not swing lightly. TRUST me.

(lol, feels weird to call myself that, its been awhile...)

Parenthood is good. No complaints here! As far as the NoHo clan I haven't been there in a LONG time. In fact haven't picked up a stick in a LONG time. But it's overdue and I've got the itch again which can only be satisfied with getting my ass kicked by the gang. Except the Hawaiian one... damn poi eatin', spam lovin'...

I am going too, I think. Hope I don't embarrass myself. Live and learn.
