Keep my fat mouth shut when Gene Lebell is talking? I think I could manage that.

The sad thing is that "I got choked out by Gene Lebell" and "Donn Draeger once ruined me with a bokken" should both be stories you'd be proud to tell.
Y'know upon further reflection it occurs to me that SS is the Homer Simpson of the MA world. He's stumbled into so many different situations that pissed off so many legit practitioners and still comes out of it LOL. The list of those he's PO just grows exponentially.

    -1st wife
    -Kelly Lebrock
    -untold number of stuntmen
    -untold number of female co-stars
-entire cast of Saturday Night Live
    -Jenny McCarthy
    -Judo Gene
    -Donn F Draeger
    -Richard Gere

Anybody got more to add to the "Annoyed by SS Master List"?

Here's the story as posted on Aikido Journal:

I'd like to add to this thread another story about Seagal that comes out of the time he was in Japan. This story was told to me by Dave Lowry who is a contributor to Black Belt magazine. Seagal was the martial arts coordinator on the set of the movie The Final Challenge with Scott Glen. Well another man was brought in to do the sword coordination. His name was Donn Draeger. For those of you familar with early American martial artists in Japan, Donn was accomplished in judo and kenjitsu. He studied many various forms of sword work. Well, Seagal though a fit and said he knew plenty about swords, Draeger then asked Seagal for his sword creditionals- who his instructors were. Seagal said Sesiki Abe (who is a 9th dan in aikido and study aikido sword which is about as ineffective as aikido is ) Dreager commented that Abe Sensei was not a sword instructor but an aikido instructor and THEN CAME THE CHALLENGE!!!!! Seagal's honor was hurt and asked for a sword fight with bokken (wooden swords).

A stage was set up and in the audience was non other then Toshiro Mifune (star of Seven Samurai). Three rounds were fought were Seagal declared himself a winner and in actuality Draeger had "cut him" with a very subtle technique both times. The third time Draeger made contact that supposedly caused Seagal to drop his sword in pain.

    Van Damme, as mentioned previously.
Dan Inosanto, according to internet scuttlebutt - http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma....=556050&page=6

Steven Segal was at a mall signing autographs. Dan Inosanto and Francis Fong pop in. Segal offers to shake Dan Inosanto's hand...when Dan Inosanto takes Segal's hand, Segal immediately puts him in a joint lock! This was not very cool since they were supposedly on good terms (Segal was training at Dan Inosanto's academy at the time), Dan Inosanto was one of the extras (the guy with the sticks) in Out For Justice, and plus, he basically "sucker joint locked" him (I guess the take-home lesson is, no matter how much you think Steven Segal is your friend, do not shake hands with him when there are people with cameras around because he may decide to joint lock you to make himself look good for his fans).
Anyway, Segal finally lets Dan Inosanto out of this somewhat embarrassing predicament and then he tries to do the same thing to Francis Fong! Francis Fong, fore-warned, pre-empts the joint-lock by bitch-slapping Segal and knocking him down. Francis Fong then warns Segal that he'll kill him if he tries to get back up. Segal stays down. Mall security arrives and escorts Dan Inosanto and Francis Fong off the property.

****, I can't believe that the same guy tried to grab Gene Lebell's balls while being choked by him, challenged Don Draeger to a bokken fight and got beaten, and joint locked Dan Inosanto for no reason. You might even think the guy wasn't harmonious.

Another legend would have it that Seagal purposefully broke Sean Connery's wrist for 'angering' him.

    http://seanconneryonline.com/facts.htm

Said in an interview that during the filming of Never Say Never Again, he was taking martial arts lessons and in the process angered the instructor who in turn broke his wrist. Connery stayed with the wrist broken for a number of years thinking it was only a minor pain... the instructor was Steven Seagal.

Uncle Steve did a music gig about 8 miles away from my Aikido dojo here in the UK.
I invited him, via his management to come practice with us, but his management said he was 'too busy'.

I'm not saying he dick-tucked me, but give it a few years and I will be claiming exactly that ;-)

I can add to the list though: Jason Delucia.
It is my understanding that Mr Delucia turned up to accept an open challenge from Seagal. Showed up every day for an age, and Seagal never fought him.

As a minor derail, what's the view here on Delucia? He seems to incorporating some Aikido into his hybrid fighting thingy.

When life gives you lemons... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!

"what's the best thing about aikido then?"
