Danny Green is taking on Roy Jones Jnr tonight in Sydney. Anyone in Australia know when its being broadcast?

I think the PayPerView broadcast starts at 6pm, but there'll be undercards so the main card is probably closer to 8 or 9pm?

I want Danny to win, but for years I had Roy Jones jnr's poster on my wall as a teenager, so I'm conflicted. Go for the Aussie or go for the idol. Damn it, I might go to training.

Hoep Danny does well, the guy is awesome. Is he awesome enough to beat RJJ though? ... I hope so!

Danny Green stuns Roy Jones Jr

World IBO cruiserweight champion, Australian Danny Green, has defeated American superstar Roy Jones Jr by first round TKO in Sydney.

The fight lasted two minutes and two seconds.

Making the first defence of his IBO cruiser weight world title, 36-year-old Green floored Jones with a big right hand to the head after one minute.

Sensing his opponent was still vulnerable, Green applied further pressure and backed up the American who suddenly looked all of his 40 years.

Several unanswered punches prompted English referee Howard Foster to stop the bout after just 122 seconds.

Jones landed a handful of punches in the opening minute during which both men felt each other out with quick jabs.

Jones, a four-division eight times world champion, offered no excuses for a defeat which could signal the end of a wonderful career.

"We don't make excuses, it was a great performance by Danny," Jones told the crowd.

Green sounded almost apologetic after humbling one of the greatest fighters of this or any other generation.

"He's one of the greatest fighters of all time and the opportunity to fight him in Australia, thanks Roy Jones Jnr," Green told the crowd.

"I don't know what to say. To everyone in Sydney, the fans here tonight and everyone around Australia, thank you, this one's for you. I'm from the land down under boys," said Green.

"I almost felt bad doing that.

"This is now the third greatest time in my life (after birth of his two kids).

"Special thanks to everyone out there who doubted me, who didn't think I had a chance... Shove it up your bottom guys.

"And to all the critics out there who bag me everytime, you don't know jack s-h-i-t."

Green started the fight as a $3.50 outsider at the NSW TAB.

He is now a four time world champion.

This was the first time Roy Jones Jr had fought outside the United Staes in 20 years.
