OMG what IS this thing?

Hello friends and neighbours!

So, I went out to buy a new MT short.

So, I went to the shop and asked for one.

And the shopkeeper showed me something like THIS:

A Muay Thay short, but with long legs?! (And it was pink, too.)

WTF!? Have I missed something or what?!

It should say 'BUTCH' on the belt though instead of 'DUTCH'.

For which sport is it used? Are there really Muay Thay/Kickboxing people wearing this kind of trousers?

They look like old school Kickboxing trousers of the shiny kind. There are a few guys at my kickboxing club who still wear them.

The ones in the pic above look like a ladies pair.

:shock:Okay, thanks a lot! Now, with my five or six years that I trained KB in total, I never saw anything even remotely alike.

I thought something like "well, so those are Systema Trousers", or the like.

Now, then again, we used to wear the white trousers that went with the gi in the ASK training.

Maybe they didn't catch on where you are. You see them less and less in most of the clubs here in the UK as MT seems to be taking over and people are preferring shorts. Some of the characters at my club sport such amazingly shiny trousers like these...

They are Magic Pants.

they'd just get annoyed that not only were you asking about magic pants in dhs, but that you were using the term incorrectly.

edit: i'm organizing a no-gi night for my karate class, and i have a sudden fear that someone will show up in kickboxing pants as pictured.
