There would be almost no way in hell you can fly with ammo. I was going on the presumption that you bunch of heathens would be driving/car pooling. As far as the whole "bring me booze thing", I was of course joking. Especially if we're just getting together to blow **** up, bbq some animal flesh, and later...drink some booze (no booze with guns, btw). I was more talking if you guys wanted like a "Carbine III Class" and I had to dedicate all my time to teaching (whereas, I can't shoot) and watching you guys so that you don't kill or maim one another. If you wanted to do something around April/May or even August/September, I'd be down. We as a group would just have to collectively decide when that would be, because I have to put in for vacation literally a year in advance.

Wow, what opportune timing. I have been looking into doing some pistol shooting and on the verge of buying my first firearm. Maybe by summer I'll know which end I'm supposed to be pointing and can attend this event.
Also, in the course of my research I came across a place right in my backyard that looks reasonably priced with a wide range of training, what do you guys think?

Quite literally...it would depend upon a lot of factors (especially as far as the shooting part goes). It would also depend upon how many days you guys could put aside. If people could just get out for a day or two, then it would be silly to try to do any sort of meaningful instruction. 1) Because I would have to spend a lot of time instructing 2) When that happens, range time is of course more limited. If we were talking about 4-5 days, we could spend time on some instruction+practice+live fire and even maybe some scenarios (for example, if you wanted to try some CQB/SWAT style training, we could let you guys as a group deploy to an abandoned house or something to assault with airsoft with some bad guys in there or something).
