Major thread derail. Thank goodness its YMAS.
Oh, and if you are from one of those teams then shoot me a pm. .totally cool.
    You were on FSAE?

Oh man, the Fresno State team comes out every year to event 9-11 in SFR and they are dumb as ****.

Last year, they tuned the car to run on E85, ran out of gas then wondered why running our spare 110 octane wouldn't run well.

They've also been using the same tires for 2 seasons, the car's wheelbase is WAAAAYYYY too short and they've got some weird tuning philosophies.

I was president of my team. Resurrected them from the ashes!! First successful complete event since 1995 or something. I dunno about the fresno team, but most FSAE cars are designed to go faster on a small autocross circuit so the cars (relatively) don't have much straight line stability.

As far as motorsports goes I gave up being bike boy and became miata boi again. Not much more autocrossing but my home circuit has DIRT CHEAP track days. Running RT615s AGAIN this season because they are so damn cheap. Not much time for racing though. (80 dollar rebate!)

See if tirerack has any more RS2's. They're cheap and REALLY sticky.

No, this thread is now about Rudy and road racing.
Perhaps you could compose a large block of car text that is really just a bunch of chun metaphors...that is if you wish to remain relevant.

EBMAS IRAS is really like double wishbone suspension.
See how the wishbone forms a triangle just like the chunner's legs

Therefore chunners should excel at cutting corners and driving rings around boxers &c

I'm more concerned with what can be done about the noisy exhaust.

See there's two sides, it's almost like it's dihedral or something.

You know, you may be onto something.

Chunners wish they could bone and they are great at suspension of logic so in that sense you are correct.
