well, I'm no blackbelt, but that **** looked DEEP. i'd almost agree, it was just nice of Jacare to not break his shoulder. from my POV, he could have.

Whether or not King Mo has the BEST wrestling credentials in the sport is debatable. What matters is that he's good, really really good. Wikipedia lists him at 215, so I dunno how well he would do against some of the bigger (and more skilled) HWs, but it would make for some exciting match-ups.

A lot depends on shoulder flexibility, angle, and how much freedom the persons hips have to move.
Lindland had room to move his hips, has flexibility, and Jacare wasn't really driving the Omo as hard as he could for a finish. Looked like he was taking it easy to make sure he didn't lose control if Lindland tried to roll him.

Sorry for being late but somebody's got to ask, why is Le so depended on his flashy kicks, doesn't his profile mention an experience in amateur wrestling, which helped him in his Sanshou bouts?

He's a performer, he likes to kick. He's a sprawl-and-brawler, plain and simple.

He likes to put on a good show. In san shou, his thing seemed to be throwing guys....kick or punch into a throw. He was/is fucking amazing at san shou. I think for mma, with the gloves changing the way throws are done, he prefers the flashy kicks that he's already great at.

I wouldn't want him to change anything, at this point. He's fun to watch, and makes it work.
