Ok folks, I wanted to start sewing the seeds for this event early. For partially selfish, and partially unselfish reasons I'm going to suggest Indianapolis for this event. Obviously this is partially selfish in that I live here. Here is a list of legitimate reasons for other people:
- Centrally located for everyone
- Major Intl Airport for reasonable tickets
- Plenty of inexpensive hotels
- Terrific restaurants and nightlife for after the event
- Said restaurants and nightlife are cheap compared to other major cities.
- Easy city to get around in
- My gym is huge with a cage and somewhere around 10k sqr feet of mat
So, basically it's in a part of the country that is accessible to most instead all the way on one coast or the other, and you get most of the advantages of a major city without the expense. That's about it. So, come on folks get behind me and bring the Mega to the midwest!
The "when" is more important than the "where" for me. I'm willing to travel anywhere, but timing is gonna be the tough part.
Yeah. I'm figuring for sometime in the summer. If we make it happen here I'll work with people on dates.
Indianapolis is a 10hr drive for me. Well within my "doable" range to come lay the smack down on Wolf's candy ass.
Bonus if other people will also be attending. Double bonus if we can schedule it for the same day as a UFC sometime in the summer...
Plane tickets into indianpolis are VERY cheap from just about everywhere, too. I live nearby. By summer i'll probably have less than a year's training overall under my belt though, so i don't think i'd attend.
Yes, I believe this was discussed last year and Dallas got the unofficial nod for 2010.

I'm not going to Dallas, just gonna throw that out there. IT's an extra 300 mile drive for me and all of that extra 300 miles is through the anal cavity of the USA.
I always believed we should move back and forth throughout the country. It went Vegas, Georgia, Kansas, New York, California...it's now time for something in the middle.
