Because it looks easy, if you only knew how. A big fat bastard like Steven Seagal can make aikido work in the movies. No flexibility required like TKD or stamina/speed/strength required like combat sports. It's the perfect style for the out-of-shape Internet fatman to see and go "I could do that."

I'm not surprised this is advertised in BB mag. The ads are the main reason I stopped subscribing. How can a magazine that claims to be for martial artists advertise this crap that shits in the face of what martial arts is all about. This might just motivate me to start a BB mag discussion thread if there's not already one.
