Triangle chokes don't apply pressure to the back, just the neck. The rubber guard aspect I also considered when it happened, but after playing with a bit during jits class, I believe a greased back wouldn't strongly affect a rubber guard.

The only situation I can imagine having an impact with with GSP standing and BJ hanging onto his back. But that's an extremely rare situation and not one that would really influence the fight.

Your argument is stupid because you are wanting us to believe he cheated in a way that likely wouldn't actually help him win. That's like writing your math notes on your arm when you go into an English exam. It would take an icnredibly stupid person to try cheating in a way that doesn't actually help them.

Even if it had an effect you would have to prove that it was intentional.

That would be like trying to prove BJ intentionally poked GSP in the eye in the first fight - an illegal move that had a much greater impact BTW.

True, and I don't expect anything, just trying for honesty.

To me honesty is where it's at. When I was 19 a cop hassled me. Thirty years later he was retired and at a restaurant he was being congratulated and I went up and said that he might have been a good cop, but the only time he dealt with me he was an abusive hippie hating jerk. Call a spade a spade.

I don't think you follow. Dana talks a lot of nonsense. That's his job. But the money never lies.

If Dana was mad, he was mad because - all mitigating factors aside - a UFC titleholder had just been shitpumped.

I thought it was they're low percentage, and even lower if you haven't got some kind of alive sparring. And that they can't be used from a disadvantageous position.
