There is a very good boxing school in Jerusalem run by two Russians.

In Jerusalem, Krav Maga is not so popular. It is mostly Shotokan and TKD. There is Taichi, Aikido, Jujutsu, "Ninjutsu", Wushu, Goju ryu, Kick Boxing, a smattering of made up crap, and other legit things.

There is boxing, not a lot that I know of, but there's plenty of other stuff as well, including real good Judo (where I train for example, other dutch people train here as well, and my coach helped the dutch Maccabia games team). Do you need help finding a gym here and have any area in mind? or are you just curious?

All instructors who wish to work in Israel, must take these courses. The courses are ONLY for learning about teaching; not the styles. Your organization sends you to get "Officially" certified. The course supplies very little training in MA's. There is some cross training with the students presenting 'classes' as a part of the "Branch" training. There is no official Krav Maga training regimen. I was told to teach "what you know" as Krav Maga in the schools. Don't confuse the Krav Maga taught outside Israel with that taught in the Army. You would get better training during 'hand to hand' combat with the Marine Corps during WW Two. Most soldiers over here think their Krav Maga training is a joke. Many of their things are VERY flawed. If you will notice, most of the "Krav Maga" instructors outside of Israel are big, very muscular, and bull their way through the techniques they teach. They teach 'attack' and deride 'defense'. They are VERY predictable and easy to counter by experienced people.
The main criticisms I have of Krav, are, as you said, that it's not taught with defending against trained attackers in mind and despite what they say it is very much power against power and dependent on brute strength. I do think most of their techniques are effective other than the ones supposed to break the grip of a much stronger attacker, but I've yet to see an MA which effectively teaches this. The striking I was taught was very good and MT oriented, the kicks were the best of my previous Karate training.

No. I travel to the states only to visit my family and friends and teach seminars.
