I have to play the devil's advocate. Why should this be a felony?

I've met a few guys like that - mainly the fuckwits who run their mouths off about their Andy McNab fantasies for free drinks in bars.

One guy who drank where I used to work claimed that he was an SAS assassin who'd worked on secondment to MI6 throughout the 80s, 'sanctioning' people in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, as well as training the BlackOps guys.

Check it out man.. There's not that many actual medal of honor recipients.. At one time, there were even more impostors than actual recipients.. Sad.. Some of them are dead because they gave their life valiantly to save others. Some of them are not even the actual servicemen that died, but their parents/siblings/children.. How would you feel if you walked up to someone wearing the Medal of Honor that did not earn it after your son/brother/father/mother/etc.. died giving their life for this country? If you say that you would not be even the slightest bit angry about that, then you should have your head checked out..

Because scumbag bastards like this devalue the sacrifice and honour of good men and women. They bask in their reflected glory without ever having had the balls to put their arse on the line, they are frauds and swindlers. If they get a **** because someone falls for thier lies it shoud be classed as rape, if they get bought a drink in a bar it should be fraud. They wear the uniform but don't have the baggage.

    LMAO!

Mate, i know 3 guys who claimed that!
over the years ive met english dudes either claiming to be SAS or hinting at it.
What is it with that 2nd guy on the balcony, did he do something really cool or something?

I know a dutch prick who went so far as tattooing the kct (commando's) emblem on his arm.
He never even was in the boyscouts.

    LOLOL!

Another 'fun story' a friend of mine has a veteran status, done afghanistan and iraq etc.
So on veterans day over here he sometimes goes and there's a big tent or something where the old mates meet up.
He told me that every year they have to fish out and escort out certain type of people who'll walk amongst them clearly wearing the incorrect uniform combinations etc.

I'd personally not escort them out but instead close the tent, and make 15 guys sing the regiment song while some 5 other dudes beat the living **** out of him unheared.

    gheheh

I know 2 ex SAS soliders though, one was my engineering tutor in college but he just stopped turning up one day, both are over 60 and have had full on nervous breakdowns

Maybe the surplus stores should stop selling the replicas/medals, then.

I mean, other than a fairly douchey Halloween costume, what would those be for?

I once overheard some guy talking to a local amateur boxer whom I used to vaguely know and giving him the 'boxing is all well and good in the ring but for real self defence in life or death situations, you can't really beat learning karate' speech. I can't recall 100% what style he was talking about (this was a while ago) - but I've got a nagging feeling that he was a Gokan-ryu guy...

Re: tattoos. The guy that does my ink sometimes has to turn away head-the-balls who ask for Hells Angels tattoos. He also tries to explain to them what the negative consequences would be if a real Hells Angel spotted them sporting the logo without permission. Some of them have then gone off to get it done elsewhere - then come back into his place and been all "Look! The guy across town did it for me!".

To put them in a long glass case on the wall and look at them?

To sell them on for a profit on eBay?
