    I have used judo throws in rugby. I used yoko wakare to get a guy trying to rip the ball from me when he tackled me. It worked, and he was called for diving over the ruck.

    I think those of you who are focusing on the small stuff like gripfighting are cherry picking to avoid the fact that a good throw is a good throw, be it judo or football.

    No, in football an osoto gari is tripping, and a harai goshi is both holding and unnecessary roughness.

    Yes and no. Defensive line can grab wherever they want except under certain circumstances, offensive line has to keep it "inside the frame". From personal experience, though, if you can snag your opponent's hand or forearm, you've pretty much won.

    Couple of things: where the hell is this MT/ Basketball movie. srlsly i wants it bad.
    Secondly wouldn't sumo be a much better martial art to crosstrain for linemen.
