just got back from my honeymoon.

i haven't forgotten or flaked out. tomorrow i will start trying to secure a location and get the info up!

Has the paypal cajigger been set up? If not can someone who knows how to set such a thing up do so?

So at this point I'm thinking it's pretty much settled. The (as far as I know) first Midwest Throwdown will be held Saturday, January 16th 2010 in St. Louis Missouri. Just need to locked down the specific venue and this shindig is 100% go.

I have a friend interested in showing up. Does he have to sign up for the site to access this thread? Just curious so he can have all the info he needs to know.

He might as well sign up. Oh, tell him to make his first post in YMAS asking about wing chun. Make sure the title is "Wing Chun: if Bruce Lee did it, it can't be all bad." I think that title hasn't been used yet.

Lol. I try to talk him into signing up (he is a complete noob to matrtial anything. In fact, back in high school he wanted to try out taijutsu at only $250 a month, then I showed him taijutsu videos on youtube. Let's just say his enthusiazm dissapated for that "martial art".

No, no. No escape for me. I been busy, to be sure, but I'm still at Scott, and probably will be for... ever. Groan.

The reason I was gone was twofold. For one, I just got turned off of fighting by the glut of, "fighters" that appeared, with their affliction T-shirts and what have you. Secondly, I just got burned out on internet forums.

BUT! I'm resuming training, and God knows I love a good ThrowDown.

EDIT: That's a swell beard you've got there.

thanks for the compliment on the beard. that pic is after i took 6 inches off of it. who knew that grabbing a braided beard was a legal set up in judo?
