Shogan vs Machida: Terible decision

I had Shogan wining 4 rounds out of five. These are the type of bad desisions we hated to see in pro boxing.
If anyone disagrees post why.

how'd you get a draw? i didn't really see a 10-8 round.
i think Rua edged out the win, 3 rounds to 2.
machida's manager was right, goldberg was providing some biased commentary, but rogan didn't fuel his fire.
some argue that machida being able to stuff rua's takedowns won him some rounds, but i would counter that rua was able to skillfully attack in the standing, and he showed the only aggression in the octagon (one of the judging criteria, iirc). i know machida is a counter striker, but he wasn't dominating, so the fact that he doesn't initiate and doesn't dominate in counter-strikes makes me think he doesn't get the advantage.

Upon further review I changed my scoring of the first round to 10-10. It was so close, I'm uncomfortable saying "it was incredibly close but", so it was a toss-up. If there are ever draw rounds, that was one of 'em. It could've just as easily been given to either man, but if I had to, Machida scored with knees to the body and answered most of the kicks.

I question the judgment of anyone who didn't give Machida round two.

Machida got round three, but if you weigh the flurry at the end differently, you might score it differently.

Shogun easily took four and five, and if he hadn't gotten complacent he should've been able to push five to a 10-8. Leg kicks do end fights, but not those leg kicks. Five rounds of leg and body work slowed and intimidated (literally, made timid) Machida, but almost seemed to tire and routinize Shogun equally.

I enjoyed the fight, but Machida disappointed me a little, and Shogun didn't impress me too much. He got a hold of something with his gameplan, but the secret's somewhat out about this one. It is necessary for Machida to adapt now, and despite the specialization of his fight plans, I think he'll have an easier time adapting than Shogun will coming up with a new plan (or having another go at this one).

again, i want to bring up the fact that rua was the aggressor pretty much the entire fight, and even won a fair bit of the counter-exchanges with leg kicks.
i can see how you score the first round even, but i would think with the judging criteria, it's rua's edge.
