Robot. Unless the monkey is unusually skilled, a robot will be tougher and hit harder on average.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

Are you fucking crazy? A chimpanzee could rip the arms off an average man and beat him to death with it with one hand! Not to mention the bipedal robot movement problem.

They talk about a matchup between 9 boxers and 9 kung fu fighters that happened in december 1999. The kung fu guys won 7 out of 9 matches.

I don't get this attitude that every TKDer is a robot programmed by the WTF. TKD guys I know usually at least train both WTF and ITF rules and many add kickboxing and MMA training to the mix.

I sparred with a TKD black belt a while back and thought that I could just smother his kicks, get in and pound, but this guy was good at maintaining kicking range. He was not so hot at bringing his knee up in close, though. Plus, I was impressed at the way this guy could really make high kicks (which I'm usually pretty good at catching) work.

My intuitive feeling would be that a TKD guy might eat a boxer who prefers to counter and move, since that gives the TKD guy time to set up a powerful kick. But it's really all about the guy, isn't it?

It seams the age old "which style is better". It's hard to say who would win. Yea the tkd guy could keep the boxer at bay with his kicks but then again a good boxer would find a way to get in close to punch the crap out of the tkd guy. It can be done. When a guy does a roundhouse kick (or cut kick), move in close to the kicker. Make sure you move towrds his/her upper part of the leg. If you do it fast enough the kick becomes useless. Also there is a good chance that the kicker has moved his arm away from his body for blance wich leaves himself open for a counterattack. Mind you this IS hard to do since I have been to do it in kicboxing class but have a hard time pulling it off in sparring matches.
