I'm one of the biggest Machida nut huggers I know. I was 100% sure he would win by knock out. Machida lost, anyone who says otherwise is blind.

Some could argue its because Shogun came out in fantastic shape and also fought a good match ... but I really don't think he looked good, even at the start of the match!

I agree. He came out tentative and he looked like he was running away instead of just being "ellusive." He kept running into the cage.

lol was a joke.. if you check another recent post I made it was about how i was impressed at a karate tournament recently you might understand

Sorry to misinterpret. I saw your posts here and in G-Off's analysis thread, added in my recollection of your JMA forum comments ("eschew karate and judo in favor of boxing in all cases") and came to the conclusion that you were a karate anti-nut-hugger. Nut slapper? If that's not the case, no worries. :)

It would be kind of funny if people started calling Machida names like krotty-boy or something. But then I'd want Machida to KO those people, for great justice.

Soko made a funny about Machida's krotty before their fight, said he was going to go practice Kung Fu in the jungle to prepare for their fight.

My feeling is that the American judges don't score kicks properly. I'd score it even on body shots/kicks/knees, and Lyoto got the upper hand on strikes to the head. If you figure that Rua was ahead on the leg kicks, and they counted for less in the judges eyes (not justifying, just speculating), I can see how they arrived at the decision.

That being said, I disagree with it. Rua won, but not decisively. Now let's all **** off and wait for what could be a very interesting rematch.

Machida wasn't really off his game, so much as both were on. They should agree to fight in a special unlimited rounds format, keep going until someone is tko/subbed.

Also, imo Machida needs to make more of his kicking in this matchup. Hope they do the rematch asap.

And then Lyoto told him he should probably try training Karate in the jungle next time. I don't think the crowd got it, and thought it was a racial remark.
