if anybody can throw a punch, how come the fat kid was throwing cat paws (what some call windmilling)? Go on youtube and you'll see the same crap: people not throwing good solid fists but sloppy cat paws--basically what you see a newb do on his first day of training when he spazzes out.

If he balls he fist and throws it with intention its a punch....IMO....Which is my point, just because one guy happened to hit the other guy while the other missed doesnt classify him as a trained fighter...

Props for going at it toe-toe, not many have the mustard.....All im sayin is that this is a bad example for trained versus untrained....

    Are you the skinny dude?

    Here's another good example:

YouTube - A long pikey fight, A good old fashioned bare knuckle fight

One is expierenced (and obviously more in shape) while the other isn't. The video explains itself.

No, the skinny guy is Joel Chapman, who is an now amature cage fighter.

YouTube - Joel Chapman vs Cody Merrill II for the Combat X belt

    He's also a TKD fighter:

YouTube - Joel Chapman - tae kwon do highlight video

Also, if you want to call the fat guys strikes punches--fine. But would you call them helpful? Professional? No. Windmilling againts someone who knows how to throw a well formed fist will not help and will end up hurting the windmiller. The trained fighter would simply throw a good jab-cross to his face.

Props to him.....Obviously he has some minerals.....

By the way windmilling as you call it may be useless, but even big fat dudes with no training or experience can still hit your button, somewhat awkwardly but it happens.....Hence why I said, "Anybody can throw a punch"...Doesnt have to be a good one.....

Jabs are so underated....IMO they should get utilized more in MMA...They can be such an effective set up....

Good points, especially about the jabs. If two people were fighting windmilling, then of course one would end up losing. But a windmiller againts a boxer or karate guy? The trained will (almost) always win.
