The Difference Between Somebody Who's Trained And Somebody Who Isn't

YouTube - Joel Chapman vs Anton "Bare Knuckle Match"

This is quite a good video, showing the obvious difference between somebody who is trained (has the conditioning, knows how to punch, kick and dodge attacks) and somebody who thinks he can fight (has no conditioning, can't punch, and can't take a hit.)

A good eductional video for those wondering why they should train in martial arts.

For those of you who don't know who the winner in this video is: he is Joel Chapman, who is now an amature cage fighter, trained in the arts of TKD, BJJ, and (I assume) boxing. This video was filmed before he became a cagfighter.

    Enjoy :)

So, 2 minutes of fighting where he can't even knock an untrained guy down, and 5 minutes of bragging about it.

    Great job!

you must see the difference, though. For one thing, the fat guy gave up and before he did, Chapman did give him a good strike that knocked him off balance--so we know that if the fight was prolonged the untrained man would have been knocked out. Another thing, the point of the vid was to show the differences: untrained: can't punch. Trained: can punch and be mobile.

The point is missed and the vid proves nothing.....Its just a messy exchange between a fat kid and a skinny kid....

With all due respect, you are telling me that the skinny guy can't punch? Those striked connected good and had some power.

Anyone can throw a punch...Its the angles and accuracy that make it a good punch....He punched him in the face bareknuckled.....The result was inevitable......
