1)It's true. Not everybody can coach. If you're use to performing at certain level, it's very difficult to not have the same expectations for people who aren't at that level Not mention, you got to do a lot more than instruct people as a coach. Can you motivate your guys, can you gain their respect, etc. Look at BJ Penn. He was good coach, but his team didn't listen to him and they suffered for it. Keep in mind too, all of these guys are professional athletes.
Conventional wisdom says these guys are supposed to be humble role models. No. They're big children. Some are better than others. They figured out how to behave at least while on camera. I'm not going to say being a dick in a public venue is okay, but understand it for what it is. These guys compete to make money. That's it. They really don't owe anybody **** aside from a good show.
And on the issue of money and shows
2)TUF is a farming and promotional machine all in one. It applies to the coaches too. I highly doubt all the coaches signed on just for the honor of fostering the next generation of UFC fighters. It's free exposure. The more people know your name, the more people will watch your fights; the more money you ask for at contract time. Plus, they get the coaching check and last I looked UFC purses weren't to heavy. These guys aren't going to be fighting forever. I don't blame them for getting while its good.

^That doesn't explain why people find rampage jackson funny in any way..Hatred is gained as much by good works as by evil. - Machiavelli

If it breaks, it is hilarious.
Rampage, bends, then breaks it, JB Welds and tapes it back together, then breaks it again, hops onto E-Bay for a BUY-IT-NOW auction (cause bidding is for titties), leaves "SUPER AAAA++++RECOMMENDED WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN!!!" Feedback, breaks the ever-loving-fucking-**** out of this one, jumps in his pimpin' F350 with his mug painted on the side, buys another new one, makes sure he buys the optional replacement warranty, brings it home, breaks the new one, calls the company and complains about that one breaking, mentions "titties" a half-hundred times while on the phone, opens the door for the UPS man delivering the warranty-replaced one and then breaks the **** out of that one, too.

People with sociopathic personality disorder find him hilarious. The rest of us, who live in your basic, normal, dysfunctional state and don't laugh during "saw VI", find him a gigantic, gaping asshole.
Shows you don't need massive intelligence to be a top fighter. Why that show made coaching into a mockery is beyond me. As though being a great fighter makes you a great coach. I"m trying to imagine a show like that where they have top boxers coming in to coach the prospects, instead of old, grizzled experts. It would look stupid. But for some reason the MA attract this kind of bullshit."We often joke -- and we really wish it were a joke -- that you will only encounter two basic problems with your 'self-defense' training.
1) That it doesn't work
2) That it does work"

just for my two cents i think hes hilarious but i have a warped sense of humour. example, i was showing one of the pool staff how one of the machines in the gym would make a great sex toy "for his bitch" and didnt even notice the shocked look on several peoples faces until about halfway through my enactment.
i also thought this-
YouTube - Walk It Out (Dystonia Remix)
was just gold
