    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Lyoto Machida lines up the BEST CARD EVER

Right at the end of this interview.

    Lyoto's dream Brazil card:

    Lyoto Machida vs. Quinton Jackson
    Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Brock Lesnar
    Wanderlei Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
    Anderson Silva vs. Fedor Emelianenko

    I just came a little.

It's a great interview otherwise, Lyoto says he'd like to defend his title five times and fight Brock Lesnar. His English is also pretty damn good.

Damn he's learned English fast. Compare this with his interview before the Tito fight.

Guy knows how to market himself. After the whole "Machida Divide" thing, his managers probably told him he needed to be a lot more accessible to the fans to establish a base. The Tito and Silva fights opened a lot of press doors for him too, so he was kinda catapulted into the MMA spotlight, which probably served as further motivation to improve his English, interview skills, and ring persona.

    Yeah it's an interesting argument.

When asked about his progress on learning English, Shogun responded "The fans pay to see me fight". Really though, being able to hype yourself up outside the ring is a big part of this sport.

I'm gonna miss his "Fight wiffa Cheeto" soundbites
Am I the only one not bothered by fighters using a translator?

More on topic, yes that card would be orgasmic. Know what'd be better?

That card as an OWGP. 1 night, 2 nights, 3 nights, doesn't matter.

I think he's too small, but it'd still be incredible. Jumping 2 weight classes (and 35 lbs.) is a lot to ask for someone who isn't Anderson Silva.

GSP could have a rematch against Pitbull Alves, he's a (relatively) small Brazilian.

There's nothing wrong with using translators (although Dong Hyun Kim's first fight does come to mind), but I definitely think something gets lost when you have to go through another person. As his English improves, he'll be able to give us a better idea of his philosophies, personality, and all the other things fans fall in love with fighters for (in addition to their fights).
