Maynard James Keenan is his name, n00b. He is also the lead singer of APC. I've seen both Tool and APC live, both were great shows. APC at Ford and Tool at Gammage Hall, both in Phoenix. Maynard also has a vineyard. I've got 2 bottles of his wine autographed.

I worked a tool concert once. The band were all assholes and made life for security a living hell. They didn't allow cell phones in because they didn't want people taking their pictures. Cell phones. Guess who had to tell 5000+ fans they couldnt bring their cell phones into the arena?

They took a break half way into their set and just chilled on the stage for a few minutes. Meanwhile, at stagefront, I was pulling some asshole out of the moshpit and over the barrier for being a douche. Tool got a front row seat as I pulled him over the rail and out the side. I think they were entertained.

    Lots of violence that night.

Maynard is listed as one of the guys Rickson beat in his 400-0 record.
Judo is only gentle for the guy on top.

Does Rickson count rolling towards his record?

That is not conducive to passionate cunnilingus, my friend, let me assure you.

Yes he does and the old man, may he rest in peace, said if that was the case then he, Helio, would have over a million fights if he counted that way.

Yeah, I can see that. Maynard seemed like a dickhead when I got those wine bottles signed. Like he didn't really give a **** about the fans. Then again, read up the lyrics for "The Patient" if you haven't. and you'll realize he really DOESN'T care much about the fans. Just the cash. Either way, though, he's a lyrical genius.

Is that what the group was called when he hooked up with Tori Amos? That was some good ****, I never picked up the album though.

Not sure but I know that it is a damn good album. I would recommend checking some of it out on youtube and if you like it get it. I love Maynards bands and think the guy is a genius. He may be a little weird, but hay, who isn't?

That's how I knew it was him when I was in Sn Diego. The in-flight magazine had a feature on him and his vineyards along with the typical arty photo. Interesting read, and then lo and behold, he's sat next to me in a pub three days later...
