BJ's been known to do his own thing in the past, and if he gets it in his head that he wants to fight Aoki, he may clash with the UFC to make it happen. If Aoki and BJ keep taking out legit top LW's, this could become a real issue. Of course, the UFC will never let BJ leave as Champion, so the only real possibility is for Aoki to forsake the promotions that have got him this far. That probably won't happen either, which is a shame, as it would be the most significant title unification in any wieght class of MMA. Looking at the past accomplishments of Shinya Aoki and BJ Penn, and seeing how the two have earned their places in their division, shows a much more balanced significane than a fight such as Brock Lesnar vs. Fedor Emelianenko. I just hope that someway, somehow, Dana Claus can put this together.
