Promoters owe it to the fighters to not put them in something they can fall out of/get entangled in. If they've got a problem with cages, it's on them to figure out something else.

Anything but a roped ring FFS.

No, actually it isn't. As long as the ref hasn't stopped the action, it is up to both fighters to continue fighting. And that's assuming Aoki even knew exactly what the ref was doing other than just thinking he was fiddling with the ropes.

That was the last time though as DREAM is adopting a shiny white Cage.

I think the Welterweight GP was better but am glad to see Aoki win.

I still really like DREAM, the japanese just have a way of making these events seem seem soo much more classy. (even with the ridiculous Anime animations and cheesy on screen vfx) MMA really needs to get away from the whole Affliction, skulls, blood splats, macho bullshit.

That's the next event, DREAM 12. Seems like it's going to be a once-in-a-while thing rather than a permanent shift.

Think deeply about the fact that you are trying to justify someone finishing a takedown while the ref holds their opponent's leg off the ground.

Actually I am crying foul on DREAM for something the ref did. Aoki is a douchebag but this is a pretty minor thing on his part.

Ah, okay. I thought you were suggesting Aoki should have stopped fighting. I believe he did exactly what he should have done, which is keep fighting until the ref stops the action. I totally agree it was a douchebag thing for the ref to do and unfair to Hansen. Just had nothing to do with Aoki.
