"its hard. if ure wobbly, jittery, and dynamic, he'l get at most a half nelson. full is hard to do if ur standing up and you are dynamic."

Well lets say you are in a bar or a dance club (or some other crowded area) and there isnt alot of space to move around.

then u're really fucked. i'm not trying to be an Ahole by telling each situation u give me is wrong. i'm sure escaping is possible, but i doubt its like...leranable. like, what i mean is say if I do get caught by it for soem reason AND i escape, its due to LUCK. probably cuz i muscled or speed-ed out of it or some quick improvisation, and not learned technique.

If someone does get you in a full nelson and you are quick enough you can grab a single finger of each hand and bend it backwards until it breaks. That should buy you some time to get away or retaliate.
Deluxe247 tells it like it is:

you ninja fags just got owned in a bad way. this thread should go to the classics and mega thread forum due to the sheer size of taebo_master and gajusceaser's penis. (with which they just smacked across these ninja's faces)

A version that works pretty well and that I've tested is: step with your left foot in a circling motion behind their right foot. At the same time turn left while using the motion of the step to place an elbow to their left side of the head. Damn, it's hard to explain, dunno if you get what I was trying to say?

you don't like hearing that a hold is unescapble do you? the truth is, truth is ur 100% done for in many situation whether you wanna hear it or not. that's reality and you have to accept it, not these fantasy escapes. you're going to take grappling advice from a kyokushin and WT guy, over grapplers who actually knwo what they're talkinga bout???

Then how do ADCC matches ever end in submission?
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

since were talking about escaping a hold, i'm assuming we are talking about secured holds. many (not all) are unescapable. you can PREVENT a full nelson but not escape it. a full nelson is a secured hold; a full nelson attempt is not. that's why i kepe advocating the fact that full nelsons are hard to FINISH, but once finished they're impossible to escape.

    No hold is inescapable.
Instead of doing the Full Nelson with your hands on the other's neck, bring them up to the back/top of the head as you bend their head forward and down as you drop. It will be over in seconds and nothing can be done about it. Practice slowly or die!
