    Yeah. I think the story goes that he managed to convince his parents to let him take it after he kept getting picked on in school (He had a skin problem that forced him to wear gloves all the time). After two weeks, he decided to fight one of his bullies and broke the kid's nose. His parents subsquently took him out.

    Its interesting the broad range of disiplines that have been studied and mastered by MMA's elite.....Also proves that before MMA there just wasnt any outlet for combatents to head into, both financially and competively...
