Let him get in the ring/cage with BJ Penn....he would get slaughtered!!
His dominance and skill as a boxer are unquestionable, but he's making the same mistakes and assumptions about MMA fighters that to many boxers make.
Actually, forget about him fighting one of MMA's best...put him against any MMA fighter in a smaller org who has been moderately successful and he would get his legs kicked to jelly...taken down and submitted or ground and pounded.
And the whole white guys can't box stuff "so they made up their own sport" is bullshit. What about Pavilik, and boximg's entire heavy weight division...or the dominant black fighters in MMA? Anderson Spider Silva comes to mind. He just dissed to races with one statement. As much as I admire his boxing skill that is one ignorant dude!

maweather isn't making any mistakes at all, he is simply pandering to boxing's fanbase, i.e. those who pay his wage. For every mma fan who thinks he's ignorant, theres probably 10 boxing fans agreeing with him, buying his ppv's, paying his wages....but i still agree that until he faces pacquiao, i have no interest in him

If Mayweather really cares about his legacy and not just money, he'll take the Pacman fight. I assume he has a more-than-healthy amount of narcissism and would prefer to be known as an undisputed pound-for-pound king before he really retires. The only reason he won't take the fight is if he and/or his management are afraid that he'll lose.

When Dana White and Sherk went to go "talk" to Mayweather in Vegas after the first rounds of UFC-bashing, remember how Mayweather turned right around and said sorry? I think Dana took Sherk and slapped Mayweather around a bit. Maybe took him down and slammed him on the hotel carpet, GnP-ed him a bit, all behind closed doors.
It makes sense, doesn't it?

I just wanna see someone posture up in mount, look down and say "Okay, let's box now."

Wait so the guy who WANTS boxing to have better numbers "suggests" he got 2-1 on something that he SAYS got 100,000 buys?
I smell bullshit.

I really am shocked at the level of fanboyism. Can you all remove your collective anything-other-than-mma sucks balls out of your mouth. How can you NOT be impressed with Mayweather? He is so good he makes great boxers look dumb. I guess we should all hate Kenny Florian because BJ made him look stupid and then just hate on BJ for not fighting Fedor?
The sports are different. If your gunna say I want to see Mayweather fight mma, then lets also say I want to see X mma guy fight Mayweather under boxing rules....
Good grief sack swingers.

Incidentally UFC 103 did 400,000 ppv buys, which is better than average for ppvs headlined by Rich Franklin and ppvs headlined by a non-title fight, both of which have historically maxed out at 375,000 buys.
1 million buys makes Mayweather/Marquez boxing's biggest PPV of the year. UFC's biggest PPV this year was UFC 100, which did 1.72 million.Undisputed KING OF ASSHOLES.
