    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Comba-Tai is a 6,000 year old Royal Warrior tradition and is the oldest MA...

Today's entertainment... Sorry if this has been here before.

"His Imperial Eminence Grandmaster Tillmon, 137th Descendent of the Royal Warrior Blood Line of the Sword and Shield. "

... & so on... I could quote almost every sentence from that page...

I like how the "Bulletin Board & Open Discussion Forum" requires a password. Guess we can't hijack it like we did Attack Proof's.

QUOTE:"In 1983 Master Jones was the undefeated Asian World Full Contact Champion, after 235 fights."

    What is this? "Bloodsport"?

This seems like someone that just took John C. Kim's marketing plan for Oom Yung Doe (aka Chung Moo Do, aka Iron Kim style) and made his own stuff.

You mean "His Imperial Eminence Grandmaster" isn't recognized by anyone outside their school?

I like the bit on the opening page about loving your enemy. Makes me think of the old Dojo press Ashida Kim bit "All true things are accomplished through love and that is the true lesson of the ninja." Because softcore hippie ideals totally have a place in an art designed for tearing people open.

Also, "Way of the Sword and Shield?" Is there any historic example of somebody using a katana with a shield?

The Japanese did not use shields. There are no extant koryu that train in the shield.

The closest you get are the Okinawans, who train with a tortise shell shield and a large knife/machete or short spear.

You need a password to get into the "instructors fortress" too. FINE! Well they can't come into MY CLUBHOUSE either...and anopther thing, NO GIRLS ALOUD! MA is for boys. :p

137th descendant....Any religious experts here know how many descendants Christ was from Adam and then how many more to someone alive today? Adam was created by G_d himself so then you could claim you were the n'th descendant of the almighty creator of the universe!!!

Too bad the Comba-tai link at the beginning of the thread is dead; here are some Comba-tai tidbits I came across:

    http://www.combatai.homestead.com/

    http://www.shiaimagazine.com/

    http://www.cafepress.com/combatai.24829775

Over on the E-Budo forum, someone purporting to be one of Dr. Alonzo M. Jones' students is talking about what a badass the Doctor is and how people on the forum should test their skills against the Doctor. From what I gather, Dr. Jones is based in Las Vegas. Now haven't there been some big Throwdowns in Vegas? How about the next time a Vegas Throwdown rolls around, someone down there get contact info for Dr. Jones and invite him to the Throwdown?

I've had enough of that guy. I'm going to debate him, because I think he's serious and not a troll.

His scholarship is deplorable at best, and laughable at worst.

For those interested, my name is Lane on e-budo.
