Style: Getting less fat--
I've been rather lucky, have yet to meet any jerk-offs wearing fight gear. Those wearing the shirts and other stuff that I have met are usually just fans. Some actually train in some sort of martial art, most just fans.
Of course, I don't go to bars to watch the fights, just watch them at home or someone elses place. -
Thumbs up!

It's silly, sure, but does anyone get on casual basketball fans for wearing team jerseys? If IFL had become big instead of UFC, I guarantee that jerseys would just as popular for MMA. I don't think it's a big deal, and I certainly don't assume anyone trains just because they're wearing a shirt.
I heard an Aussie (or NZer? can't remember) talking about how you'll get in a fight down under just for wearing a Tapout shirt. -

Style: Not sure anymore--
At the Arnold Classic this year...I thought I died and went to Tapout/Affliction T-shirt hell!! It was funny as hell watching 2/3 of the people walking around with them on were not fighters...(of any kind)
I'll never wear one. I guess I've always equated it to people who wear Navy Seals stuff and don't even know how to swim much less have served in any military branch. Plus, why advertise you train to everyone anyway?
*Edit* Unless your a paid sponsered fighter:-) -
