    Isn't that much of the point of the meisterhauen? To attack in such a way as to negate your opponent's attack, either by taking the line and getting your blade between you and them, or by uberlaufen in the case of sheitel.

    As I understand it, yes. Bearing in mind that I am not a Longsword practitioner.
