Almost. lol. (its barely over 100k, and most of its UF students) I can name almost all the fighters who compete. Its sorta like being from the same gym. We train together and ****. Regardless, when promoter came back with the list of names and I told her no to him, he was already placed with someone else. Its not as big of a deal as being from the same gym/team.

There are some really dodgy promoters out there mate, your coach needs to be the one on top of fight scheduling and calling them on their bullshit.. its a stress you shouldn't have to deal with.

Looking forward to the video, just remember that the first 5 fights mean **** all for win-loss records. It's all a learning experience.

Could you talk about this further? I don't see what you mean.

Around fight 5 is when people start loosening up and fighting more like they spar. The first couple your body goes into such an extreme overload of adrenaline, stress and strangeness that almost all your technique goes out the window. The first few fights are almost always won by the more aggressive person, not necessarily the more skilled.

If i ran into someone who had lost their first 4 fights and won their last 3 i wouldn't think of it as an easy fight like the record might suggest. No one judges you if you lose a low amateur fight because there are so many factors at play.

I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but pulling and striking like that is illegal under international rules. My second KD and my last KD was done like that; pushing me into his hook, pulling with both arms into his kick. My opponent wanted a MT fight, and I wanted a FCR fight. Doing international was a compromise. What he did looks okay in MT but that **** isn't supposed to fly in International. Ref didn't seem to notice that much. I'll keep that in mind training for my next fight, and never let that happen again.

Reading through the rules, it looks like it wouldn't matter if the ref doesn't see it.

Mad props for stepping into the ring and posting even a losing fight. It takes guts to do both those things.

Whew. Better luck next time, man.

    Three quick bits of advice:
    1. Don't let promoters jerk you around.
    2. Keep your hands up.
    3. Never turn away from your opponent.
