Also, it just sounds kind of dirty, excerpted like that. But that's secondary, and I assume you can deal if it comes up.

Ah, well I meant it in the way Wacker had mentioned it. Mistress Molly's son is also this type of person. Would rather sit in the corner and twittle thumbs rather than stand up for himself.

So we have two kids, of different genders, in the same town, both seemingly have very Type-A personality parents taking a martial art that requires fair amounts of aggression and close proximity at the same school from the same instructors.

    Anyone?

If I'm Canadian, doesn't that make me a "Type 'Eh?"

One thing to note, however, is that girls (as opposed to women) often take to grappling like fish to water. It's only around adolescence and beyond that I see the telltale recoil at the thought of grappling. A 7 year old girl will pick up an 8 year old boy on her hip and toss him down like it ain't no thang. At 14 it's infused with strangeness (even if it's another girl) and as adults it's, well, as discussed, subject to all these idiosyncratic mores and preferences.
    Quite true.

    Lesson learned?

Parents, start your girls early. It's a blast to watch your daughters wipe the floor with the boys. Once the boys get to know the girls, there's usually no hard feelings for getting whipped by a girl. This helps the boys.

Parents. It's your duty to get your daughters started in grappling at a young age for the social benefit of both sexes.
