Do you think people knowing there won't be a fight will hurt ratings this season as it goes on?

That won't effect the shows ratings. No more than knowing full well that Rashad would have kicked the **** out of Rampage anyway. If anything will effect the ratings it will be the general shittiness of the show.

I'm thinking Rampage may fight Evans - they've already signed a contract, and I'm sure there's a "*****-out" clause that is fairly costly. And Page is kind of a drama queen anyway. I think he's bipolar.

Not sure if there's any precedent for backing out or buying out of a fight contract in the UFC. Anyone know?

Most viewers of the show aren't going to know that.

Normally the worst thing they can do is keep him from fighting anywhere else (cf Randy Couture). There might be something specific in the TUF coach contract, but there are just so many reasons why a guy might legitimately not be able to fight (injury, illness, etc) that I doubt it.

    Spoiler:
That fight was awful, and Shivers apparently had 2 minutes of gas, but did all of you have him losing 2-0? I mean he was doubled over for most of the fight, but he did have the takedown in round 1 and hit some power shots that had James looking at least a little hurt.

As gassed as he was in round 2, and despite taking some nasty low kicks, Shivers did manage to get a takedown, get mount, and take the back at one point.

Did everyone have him losing 2-0?

In response to the message in jsampras3's spolier tag: Nope. Didn't agree with it at all.

I thought he won an extremely sloppy, but very clear decision. 2-0 for Shivers, is what I saw.
