Agreed on both counts (the strategy and that we're probably wrong and Rampage is an idiot)!

Except that Abe was Rampage's second pick, so it doesn't make much sense for him to think of him as a "sacrificial lamb".

It does if Page really doesn't give a **** about anyone else but Kimbo. That would mean that all the other picks were meaningless. Abe going for the #2 spot was just random, or at least based only on size (which seemed to be the only other method to Page's madness).

And it doesn't really seem like they're giving any indication on the show that they're not going to fight for a while. I understand that they'll probably keep people watching this way, but it'll be a real kick in the nuts for anyone who doesn't know.

I just caught the end of that episode. How did he get cut so badly in the first round? That must have been one hell of a punch. I'm no judge, but I don't think I would have let that guy do a second round.

Not having the guys fight to get on the show is a break from the last few seasons and to me robs it of legitimacy.

I'll still watch every episode, and probably enjoy it, but I'm predicting many a facepalm this season.

ugh, how the **** did they let that fight carry on? he was COVERED in blood after the first round. that **** doesnt gross me out usually but holy ****.

what pisses me off? that fight is gonna be used as ammunition by the "mma is human cock fighting" crowd. and with good reason- if i had never seen an mma fight before and i watched that, id have that reaction. fucking gross. i think its totally irresonsible to let someone fight when they have a wound in their head like that fucking literally spraying blood out. i feel bad for the other fighter too, i wouldnt want to wade through that :/
