First off: the Golden gloves champion:
No mention of Trent Suzuki as a champion.

Next: Savate Champion
Now I'm not aware of Savate fighting orgs, but searching google for: Savate "Trent Suzuki" only turned up 37 results
Most of them are basically parroting the resume
This one says that Trent Suzuki certified somebody in savate
Certified Initiateur - Savate/Boxe Francaise
received from Trent Suzuki (1999), USA Savate Champion
One of these is another shady individual "Master-Mike Omerbegovich" who referenced Trent Suzuki as an instructor
investigated here: http://www.efnsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=4801.0
his myspace page http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...endId=73855333
his web site: http://www.freewebs.com/mixedmartial...redentials.htm turned up on the google search but the page had been wiped of any sort of content.
This page: http://www.hockscqc.com/endorse/index.htm lists him as "--Trent Suzuki, Black Belt Sa-Bom, Savate Champion, Certified Instructor in Kick Boxing, Grappling, Kali/Jeet Kune Do Instructor, Thai champ, San Diego, CA " Yet another championship claim.
This page: http://www.eating-4-energy.com/testi...TIMONIALS.html states "Trent Suzuki M.S./ M.S., Owner AthElite Training International U.S. Savate Kick Boxing Champion / 3rd Degree Blackbelt Instructor"
Page 36 of This magazine:
An article on squatting, lists trents bio as:
Trent Suzuki holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology/ exercise biomechanics; and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the NSCA. Through his company, AthElite Training International, Trent trains many profes-
sional athletes. Among his many degrees and affiliations,
he holds a 4th degree black belt and master instructor in
Soo Bahk Do Moo Buk Kwan; and is a former US Amateur
Champion in Boxe’ Francaise Savate a three time World
Karate Champion. For more information about physical fit-
ness, contact Trent at
Note that it states "Amateur" which seemed to fall off the Savate champ claim in later years.
Also this one on page 35 has the same bio: http://www.hockscombatforum.com/cqcm...b-mar-2001.pdf
Looks like he contributed to this magazine for 2 months
And that's ALL the relevant mentions Trent Suzuki with Savate within Google.
Now what is the US Savate Kickboxing Organization, do they have such a thing as an amateur championship?
From what I can tell, this is their 'official' site: http://www.usasavate.org/ and they are headquartered in Laredo, Texas.
I found this page that lists their champions: http://www.usasavate.org/history_of_..._champions.htm
No mention of Trent Suzuki.

All the "certified"s make it seem like a pay for certificate situation. This "trained with" and "training" is most likely seminars. Perhaps we should draft a generic email asking for more information and just send it off to as many of the people listed as possible.

I just couldn't wait, I've mailed the department of Physiological Sciences at UCLA which would have granted those degrees.
Next, the "National Strength and Conditioning Association" certification #87481
Through this search of their site: http://www.nsca-lift.org/trainers/default.asp his name did not turn up
I contacted the NSCA to verify the certificate, and spoke with them. They told me that Trent Suzuki was previously certified starting on July 15th 1987 and his certification was valid up until to 2003 when he must have stopped paying his dues. They said that claiming to be certified was "not valid" and that they will be sending him a C&D.

I emailed American College of Sports Medicine since he didn't appear in their online registry, but he could have opted out.
I see no record of his membership in the National Pitching Association, but maybe he was in the past (this is only 2009-certified) http://www.nationalpitching.net/certified.asp?
I think the form email is OK, but we should focus on the certifications--it's more black & white.

He is listed as a lifetime member of the Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation:
American College of Sports Medicine - Health/Fitness Instructor #2392
Searched all Certification types on this page:
his name did not come up.

Thanks 1point2, you beat me to it.
Unfortunately, UCLA does not verify degrees by e-mail, so I have to go through studentclearinghouse.org to verify his degree.
I require his date of birth in order to do this. I have sent Trent Suzuki an e-mail informing him of this thread, and requesting his DOB (which will not be posted publicly).
Yes, I am smarter than you are.

OK, according to the 1982 "Southern Campus" year book thingy there was a Freshman at UCLA in 1982 with that name. So I think it likely he attended. Unfortunately the last UCLA yearbook archive I can find is from 82, so I haven't been able to find out if he graduated yet.
The guy is apparently a serious personal trainer, gets a lot of shoutouts from basketball folks.
