Idle curiosity. Is your Avatar the scene from the BBC's terrific "I, Claudius" when John Hurt as Caligula has just consummated and killed his sister?

I believe jcvd was portraying Frank Dux in the american classic "bloodsport" Any hoot his style was Dux's martial art style "Dux Ryu Ninjitsu" is not a koryu 15th century feudal form of Ninjitsu, but is still claimed to be "based on its Koga Ninja root principles of adaptability and consistent change."Frank Dux formulated the proprietary augmentation technology he calls DuX FASST (Focus-Action-Skill-Strategy-Tactics)..As for jcvd himself,im not sure of his particular style.

It's confirmed today in the Belgian Newspapers

    Translation (by me):
Jean-Claude Van Damme, 'the muscles from Brussels', will be fighting for real. Next year, he wants to enter the ring for a Thaiboxing competition in Las Vegas. The Belgian actor got for this event the aproval of his trainer Claude Goetz.
His adversary will be Somluck Kamsing. Somluck, a thai citizen, won in 1996 a golden medal for boxing at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Van Damme, who is nowadays 48 years old became in 1979 European Champion Karate. Nine years later the action movie 'Bloodsport' gave him his breakthrough in Hollywood.
The exact date isn't yet set, but Van Damme says on facebook that the event will take place around Mai, June or July 2010. For Van Damme is it ten years ago that he fought a competition.

What an . . . interesting choice of opponents. I'm no kickboxing expert, but won't that guy hurt Van Damme badly?

I bet on Van Damme cuz boxing sucks it doesn't use your legs. One kick to the knee from Jean Claude and he'll be done, but only if the fag sport rules allow for that.
