    Melbourne throwdown - oz

    Hey there peeps,
Just letting you know I want to plan Melbourne Throwdown #4 but that it will not be until around December...

Why you ask? I have many things going on in Sept and October include time away in China and Hong Kong again. November is filled with Birthdays and the like so I'm looking at first week Dec.

If people are interested, I am giving ample time to get your **** together.
Also I don't want this one to just be about sparring...last time everyone went hell for leather for the first hour and a half and then there was nothing but limp bodies huffing and puffing around the matts for the rest of the day. This time around I'd like to break it up into sections...maybe people from different styles could go through a technique that they like best from their style and people could give it a try. A discussion could then follow on the pros and cons, and potential holes others from other styles see in the tech and contribute ways to work around them.
We could then end the day with an hour or so of sparring...
    what do people think?

I'd be happy to attend, and would more than love to.

Unfortunately I work all weekends, so unless it's on a weekday I can't make it.

Last weekend of Setpember (26th 27th of September) or first weekend of October (4th/5th) are best for me.

Just moved to Melbourne, and yeah I'd be happy to come along. I don't mind going through technique, but I would prefer just to come for a light rumble. There's plenty of technique from every day training.

    Hey Nico,

deadbolt was telling me that you are trying to organise one of these again. Me and a couple of the guys will probably be in.... assuming my injuries allow me.

Hey YC, I have no problem with that, and that's what we've done in the past, but as I said before...there's ony so long people can roll/spar for before they gas. Our dojo has a fair amount of room, so you can have 4-5 pairs sparring at one time, so there's not a lot of waiting around for your turn.

Sure you're right; there's plenty of technique from every day training, but wouldn't you like to pick up something from a BJJ guys for example?
