here is a link to the last joust i did. I am the blue one
I though the "close to the gonads shoot" would amuse you.
That is a simply magnificent kit. I feel so shabby now.
Wow, that's like the coolest hobby I've ever seen.
Now that's LARPING!!!!!
looks like fun
Wow. Really cool stuff. Are the jousts actually competitive, or are they scripted?
. . . Are you sure it is safe to joust without a lance, and more or less unarmored? And with a head of lettuce stuck on your sword?

Sorry for the delay, no it is not scripted. But to be honest there is very few people that are doing solid lances like that. Even if you count people doing balsa tip lances we probably are under 100 worldwide. And there is lots of bickering and massive ego trip so to get something together is even harder than finding aikido that works

If all goes to plan next year there should be a truly international platform in France and in Belgium with teams from different continent but we will see.
For me the ideal would be those lance may be a bit thicker and a 15th century armour (i.e. something where you see where you are going and you can actually ride).
As you can see that kit makes you much more autonomous.
