I really, really, really hope Marquez takes it. I love his style, the man's a fucking warrior. He always comes out to fight, and it'd be nice to have someone like that as the champ.
So yeah, Marquez.

Mayweather's gonna make the fight look easy, I see it as a warm-up for promoting a big superfight for the p4p title against pacquiao. It's the only explanation I can think of for why he wouldn't come out and fight pacman first.
as much as I want Mayweather to lose, I dunno if Marquez can pull off the upset.

It would be amazing if Marquez won, but I don't think he has the size & strength to take the welterweight version of Mayweather. Also, what the hell? Why are they hyping this fight so much when clearly sticking two counter punching specialists in the ring together is not going to make an action packed fight?
Marquez will scrap like hell, but he usually needs an opponent to initiate the action so he can take advantage. Mayweather is fairly boring in general once he started fighting above super lightweight.
Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Juan Manuel Marquez - UD
Zab Judah vs. Mathew Hatton - If Judah doesn't suffer a fucking breakdown like he always does.
Jose Lopez vs. Marvin Sonsona -
Michael Katsidis vs. Vicente Escobedo - TKO late rounds
Chris John vs. Rocky Juarez - Juarez will get worked and won't get the benefit of being in Houston.

imo Mayweather is gonna win the first however many rounds on speed until Marquez figures out his timing, then Marquez will pick up some rounds outboxing him and countering, then Floyd will adjust his timing and win some more rounds, and by the time Marquez figures him out again the fight will be over.
I hope ring rust and/or marquez's power interrupts that prediction somewhere, but I'm not betting on it.Undisputed KING OF ASSHOLES.

Stylistically I think Marquez is a tough match-up for Mayweather, but I don't like this whole catch weight thing because it forces Marquez to fight at a weight he's been at before. He'll be almost eight pounds heavier and eight pounds slower. I think Marquez best chance is to initiate exchanges early and often otherwise Floyd just gonna pick him apart. The uglier and longer the fight the more I lean towards Marqeuz

I wonder how many US$Squillions PBF lost in the Banks Scandal? (UK) Boxing News reported earlier this year that 'liquidity' was a motivating factor in any likely Return by Mayweather.
Now we've got ESPN to replace SETANTA in the UK, I'm readying myself for the Sunday re-run. Staying up until 5AM (time difference) knocks the stuffing out of me.:occasion1
