Most armies in the Mid-East are poor quality

Iraq had a huge military, and massive anti aircraft system, but that does not help if they could not shoot down our planes.
If they where a truly formidable military than the gulf war would have resulted in thousands of U.S casualties and hundreds of our planes shot down.
Hell, Israel would have kicked their ass.

I don't know why you're trying to convince me! You're preaching to the choir! Clearly laser guided weapons, gps and other emergent technologies did not result in a massive paradigm shift in warfare at the start of the decade, rendering otherwise well established, effective armies such as iraq's defenseless in lightning fast offensives. The answer is, rather, quite obviously that arabs cannot shoot straight and are worth 10 points for every kill, 15 for a headshot (which also does double damage).

And don't even get me STARTED on weapons you buy from russia. Every military device that comes out of the soviet union is sure to rust and turn to ash after 10 years (right after the warranty runs out!!) leaving it completely ineffective on a battlefield. Gosh, it's a wonder someone like the US or the Soviet Union never just tried to invade the mideast and take conrol of everything...
