Sambo training in Moscow?

I have a friend and training partner who is living in South Moscow, at Domodedovskaya Station, and is looking for places to train submission grappling. Specifically, he wants to train sambo, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing some judo or whatnot either. Any recommendations?

I have trained in Moscow ten times. I would highly recomend Igor Kurinoy's school Borec. It is located in southwest Moscow. Igor and I are the best of friends and I'm his North American Representative and editor. He is a 3x World Sambo Champion and 5x World Cup Sambo Champion. When I take a team over to Russia we train technique at Igor's school and do randori (live fighting) at Sambo-70.
Igor is also the creator of the Sambo for Professionals Series.

definitely go there! I have been there with Dynamo and the training is incredible to say the least.

Hiya!! I'm new to this site so don't know if any of you guys are still on here but I'm also looking to go to Moscow for a few weeks and train Sambo. I've looked at the sites you came up with and found some by myself. I've sent emails but no answer since (about two weeks ago)...how do you go about contacting schools when you went over there to train?
You have a certain contact person or trainer I can maybe contact directly? I'm really serious about this and would love your help!!

XSO, I'm taking a team to Ukraine this June, details are below. let me know if you're interested.

Here is an update for all of you that are committed to or are strongly considering going to Ukraine.

Sambo Camp with Igor Kurinnoy.

Spartak Olympic Training Center, Alushta, Ukraine.

June 11-21, 2011 (dates may vary a day or two).

Cost $2875
The price includes training, lodging, food while at the Spartak OTC.

Airfare is not included. We need to fly into Kiev, Ukraine. From there we either spend a night in Kiev and take the train to camp or we take a short flight to camp the same day (this has not been determined as yet).

This is an intensive camp, you'll need to be in shape. There will be at least two technical sessions and two strength and conditioning sessions per day. There will also be coaching sessions.

A 50% desposit is required by March 15, 2011 with the balance due May 15, 2011. I need to wire the money to Igor prior to arriving at camp.

Make sure your passport is valid through July 2012, no Visa is required.
