So Alexander the Great, who actually fought in all his battles and was wounded 8 times and never lost a single battle, lost to Attila the Hun who didn't fight himself, died of a nosebleed, and lost his biggest battle to a crumbling Western Roman Empire already in ashes by the time he arrived on the scene... Oh well, lol.

My only disappointment with this season is that they didn't do Biker vs Cowboy. That would be awesome.
I'm glad that they've learned from their previous season that "Guy with Really Kickass Armor vs Guy with Little to No Armor" does not make for a more interesting matchup, it just makes for a weird and one-sided fight.
Personally, I think they should do some Remix Episodes; I hardly think I'm the only one who's disappointed that they never actually had Samurai vs. Knight or Ninja vs Pirate. Maori vs Zulu and Viking vs Highlander would also make for some good matchups.The fool thinks himself immortal,
If he hold back from battle;
But old age will grant him no truce,
Even if spears spare him. -

I'm still waiting for a Deadliest Warrior rendition of Bar Douchebag wearing Tapout shirts, vs Soccer Hooligan/Douchebag wearing a Packers Shirt. They need to have a douchebag week, where they match douchebags from various walks of life against each other.
Then they would have reason to bring back Snake Blocker. -
Thumbs up!

finally got around to watching swat/gsg. did they say that gsg members have to kill their pet chicken in order to join up? that seems pretty twisted in my opinion, and not sure how much that's gonna help you psychologically.
i'd heard that they were doing mix-matches from season 1, like spartan/samurai; anyone know where i can find these? -

I still want to know why they though giving Alex a siege engine was a good idea. (Yes I know they gave it the advantage but come on, a weapon that takes multiple soldiers to just cart around and set up isn't going to be useful in a small scale battle.)
Oh, I also found it funny they basically said Alex was a MMA expert (since he did pankration) and Atilla was basically an unskilled thug. (From what I know Alex would have done it but you can't expect him to be an expert just like you can't expect an army solider to be a boxing/wrestling expert. Of course there's a story to relate how good their pankration training would have been. A soldier in his army in full gear fought a duel again an olympic pankration champ who had a club. The soldier had the crap kicked out of him.)
Personally I agree with you. 800 years in technological improvement is nothing to sneeze at. (Oh well, at least they had alot of gel torsos and cutting up of cow carcasses) -

According to them it came down to archery, I think. However, my problem is Attila didn't actually fight and stuff like this doesn't seem to e taken into account at all. The technology in a one-on-one (despite being 800 years apart) really wasn't significantly different enough to make Alexander's experience and Attila's non-experience irrelevant. -
