    Movies with FMA choreography

Let's try and list the movies that have FMA in their fighting choreography. There are some I believe there is no doubt about, but others not so much. The ones I can think of right now:

    No doubt about it:
    The Bourne Trilogy
    The Hunted
    300
    Dune (the one with Sting)
    Mission Impossible 3
    Resident Evil: Apocalypse
    The Blade Trilogy
    Riddick
    Enter the Dragon
    Game of Death
    Under Siege
    Out for Justice
    Equilibrium
    The Book of Eli
    Barb Wire
    Ballistic: Eks vs Sever
    Big Stan
    The Sensei
    The Punisher
    The Prodigy

    Strong feelings about these ones:
    Sherlock Holmes
    Taken
Star Wars Episodes II and III (there is at least one source claiming it, and acoording to it Count Dooko's lightsaber was based on a bolo hilt. It does seem that way and since Dooku's choreography always reminded me of FMA, it seems very likely).
    Rambo 3
Quantum of Solace (there's a little scene when Bond kills a knife wielder using scissors that looks like a knife drill)

    Doesn't seems very likely:
The Protector with Tony Jaa, supposedly the scene near the end when he performs various bone breaking submissions
Kill Bill (one source claimed it)

Repo Men under for sure and Ghost Dog under maybe - forest whitaker is a longtime FMA practitioner

You do have to understand, though, that fight choreographers pull a lot of flash from all sources.

Of course, their job is making the fights interesting, not actual portrayals of anything.

Yep, in the movie with Gerard Butler of course.

I would add Money Train (Wesley Snipes does some nice gunting IIRC), and Rapid Fire (Brandon Lee, again with some nice gunting).

And if we're talking TV, there's a few episodes of Xena, Warrior Princess where the Amazon women are doing sinawali in the background - I guess if you're supposed to have a dozen actresses/models do "fight training" it's an easy thing to throw in.

I've never noticed that, but I rewatched some episodes of WMAC Masters recently and the Tsunami character also performed sinawallis with rattan sticks (decorated with ribbons) both in the background and during his demonstrations. But of course it's all credited under Kung Fu.

But the best tv show to showcase FMA has to be Stargate Atlantis, it's pretty obvious: stick sparring matches, knife fights, pangamut, everything's there.

Interesting, but terrible single stick technique. Any strikes with power would crash right through his slappy limp wristed blocks. I suppose the somehwat choppy camera work tries to hide this fact. Of courseI know it's tv but i've got to bitch about something. Stuff like this is what people picture when I say I do FMA.

IMHO, one of the most under the radar FMA flicks ever:
"A Grande Arte" - fight choreography by Chris Kent

YouTube- "Exposure", 1991, (aka High Art, A Grande Arte) Hermes, excerpt Part II

    Aloha, Poi
    Kuha'o - Kela - Koa

I don't know what was used in "Taken" with Liam Nelson, but it has some FMA style movements.

Gladiator had a role written for Emin Boztepe but he couldn't keep re-scheduling to meet their needs so another Tsunner played his part (silver masked gladiator). A lot of Latosa FMA in that one through out.
