Is There a Link That Explains Billy Jack's Style?

Where could I find out about the MA style Billy Jack (Tom Laughlin) was into?
Was it Hollywood or real skill?

    Thanks

According to IMDB, Tom Laughlin trained under a Bong Soo Han.

Mr Laughlin did indeed train under Bong Soo Han, at least for the movie. Bong Soo Han has several books out about Hapkido. I am not sure of the quality or what they have in the way of specifics, but you can get them cheap.

Interesting sidenode - Bong Soo Han also played the heavy in the Fistfull of Yen segment of Kentucky Fried Movie.

But I'm sure Tom Laughlin could kick ass for really reals. Just like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.

Bong soo han actually appears as his teacher in "The trial of Billy Jack.," and it was Han who actually does the infamous "whomp you up the left side of your face" kick in the movie.

    Total hapkido.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

Thanks for the link. I read about it on wiki I think and it fully explained everything.
I had never heard of Bong Soo Han style. I haven't seen Billy Jack in awhile, but I do remember removing his boots and using a lot of kicks.

    Thanks
