From a business perspective, M-1 is going to have to deal with this. Whether anyone here has a problem with it, a lot of other people in the world will. He will either have to get the tattoos replaced or M-1 will have to drop him eventually.
Personally, I wouldn't pay for a ticket or ppv knowing a chunnk of that cash went to someone who supports that kind of bullshit. And if he doesn't feel that way anymore, then he should be ok getting them removed. -

Mature and clear headed people won't be overly bothered by this. For me personally, I don't have an issue with it. Mind you, the majority of the world don't like something if it might even slightly offend any major group of people. My prediction is that the tattoo will either be removed/covered-up or he will be dropped.

*Sighs.*
Skinhead infestation of the European MMA scene is a real problem,
and people are getting increasingly soft on it, especially with many smaller promotions essentially clinging to a right-wing fanbase.
M-1 is like the rising star among European MMA promotions,
and this is just a prominent example I figured some of you
might even have heard of. That they even let him sign with them speaks
volumes about how and to whom they want to promote the sport.
- Alarming, to say the least. The guy has a 19-9 record, and been under contract with M1 since 2007. It's not as if they hadn't had the time to notice it earlier.
Now, I can see why this maybe doesn't bother you in California,
but around here, MMA events get cancelled because officials "don't want to have those skinheads in town". Stuff like this is just as lethal for the sport as it would be for US MMA if Forrest Griffin called Anderson Silva the n-word.
Displaying a svastika in Europe is not like having the Confed flag hanging from your roof in Tennessee. It's like visiting Lincoln memorial wearing a shirt saying "John Wilkes was the real hero".
Oh, and besides, for ****'s sake, please cut that anti-communist reflex every time someone complains about nazis. Noone is promoting one thing by critisizing the other. ...And if that doesn't help, just close your eyes and turn up the volume for the latest track from your favourite "Prussian Blue" album.Last edited by Hiro Protagonist; 8/31/2009 5:18pm at .
